During the summer of 1900, David Hilbert had a Conference with the second International Congress of Mathematicians in Paris.
Hilbert presented a set of 23 unsolved problems in mathematics. Many of these problems remain unsolved, and some have been
restated, then solved. All of them have inspired mathematicians for over one hundred years. These problems have also acted
like a calendar to the mathematicians. By looking at how many of the problems have been solved one can tell how mathematics
has advanced since these problems were stated.
